１口頭で申し述べること。また、その内容。「あいさつの—を聞く」「逃げ—」
２口のきき方。ものいい。
３歌舞伎などの興行物で、出演者または劇場の代表者が、観客に対して舞台から述べるあいさつ。初舞台・襲名披露・追善興行などのときに行われる。
