ベースライン【baseline】

１基線。基準線。
２野球で、塁と塁とを結んだ線。
３テニスで、コートの両端に引かれたネットと平行な線。
４音楽で、最も低い声部の旋律。曲全体の旋律や和声の基準となるため、重要な声部とされる。
５フォントのデザインにおいて、基準となる線の一。文字の下部を通過する仮想的な線で、特に欧文フォントについていう。ふつう、同一フォントの文字はベースラインが揃うようにデザインされている。並び線。
