ひと‐つ【一つ】
［名］
１数の名。自然数のはじめ。いち。
２㋐物などを数えるときの、1個。「りんごを—食べる」「—二つ間違ってもかまわない」「万に—の可能性」㋑1杯。器に入った酒・水などにいう。また、少しの量。「冷たい水を—召し上がれ」「—参りさうなお顔でござる」〈虎明狂・鍋八撥〉㋒年齢の、1歳。「—年を取る」「—半の幼児」
３行為や状態のひとまとまり。副詞的に用いて、少し、の意をも表す。「今日は—気分がすぐれない」「今—調子が出ない」
４同一なこと。同一にすること。「家計を—にする」「—屋根の下に暮らす」
５形や表現は違っていても中身は同じであること。また、似ていること。一体。「全員が心を—にする」「世界は—だ」
６厳密にいえば違うものでも、考えようによってはその範疇に入ること。一種。「これも人生の—だ」「それも—の考えだ」
７他と比べて、一方。また、ある側面。一面。「—にはこういう解釈も成り立つ」
８いくつかの事項を列挙するときに見出しとして用いる語。「—、本会は社員をもって構成する」「—、金(きん)壱万円也」
９名詞の下に付いて、それ以外にはないことを強調する語。…だけ。「身—で脱出する」「母の手—で育てられる」「行くか行かないかは自分の決心—だ」10（打消しの語を伴って）あるものを代表させて、類似の事柄のすべてを否定する語。…さえも。「ごみ—落ちていない」「あいさつ—できない」「風邪—ひかない」11奈良・平安時代の定時法で、十二辰刻の一つを四等分したものの第一。12第1。順序数の1番目。「—には御手を習ひ給へ。次にはきんの御琴を」〈枕・二三〉［副］
１これから行動を起こそうとするときに用いる語。ちょっと。さあ。試しに。「—やってみよう」「—歌でもいかがですか」

He gave one orange to each child.

They ate up the food in no time.

There are two boxes: one is blue and the other is black.
